#START FTP SERVER MAC OS X HOW TO#
For instructions on how to enable MySQL, see Setup on Mac OS X Server. Mac OS X FTP/SFTP server log level 5708 FTP Log SFTP Mac OS 1.
Mac OS X Server comes with MySQL pre-installed. Stop MySQL: sudo port unload mysql5-server. Because its so widely used, almost all the bugs have been weeded out, so its probably going to be more stable than server integrated into OS X. Start MySQL: sudo port load mysql5-server. I too, would recommend the built-in FTP daemon (vsftpd). Note: the default document root points to "/Users/*username*/Library/Containers//Data/Documents/FTPShare", you can press Command-G in Finder to go to destination folder. However, Cyberduck is only a FTP client -not 'server', as the original poster was asking. If you are opening this server up to the Internet, you should really consider another method as FTP is not secure and could open up you Mac to hacking. * Please restart the FTP service after changing the configuration / the FTP accounts.
